Can I send my children to Hong Kong to study at primary or secondary school level?
No, foreign students can only study in university or upwards on a student visa.

Can I apply for employment in Hong Kong after I have completed my studies?
Yes, you can apply for staying/returning and working scheme in Hong Kong under the immigration arrangements for non-local graduates. You need to change you visa status however.

I current live overseas, but I want to live in Hong Kong because I like the culture and environment in Hong Kong, would I just come to Hong Kong and then look for a job?
You may consider applying a visa under Quality Migration Scheme. Once your application is approved, you will be granted a one year visa which can allow you to look for a job and settle in Hong Kong.

Can I bring my family to Hong Kong on a dependent visa if I have a student visa?
Yes, you can bring your spouse or children as your dependent on a student visa.

After my studies in Hong Kong, can I set up a company in Hong Kong and work?
Yes, you can but you must change your visa to investment visa.

Can I change my university?
No, if you wish to change university, you must get approval from the immigration department.

If I apply for a full time- short term course can I apply for a student visa?
Yes, you can apply for student visa, but you can’t apply for any part time course when apply
for student visa.

Can I work on my student visa?
Yes, but only part-time not more than 20 hours per week, and during summer vacation from 1st June to 31st August.
