Change of Hong Kong Visa Status

A change of status application is required when an applicant changes their immigration status regardless of whether or not their current visa is still valid.

A change of status might involve a dependant spouse divorcing and receiving a job offer or an employed person deciding to start his/her own business. In the first instance the applicant has to exchange their dependant spouse visa for a work visa, and in the second, a work visa for an investment visa. The most common however, is changing from a visitor’s visa to an employment visa.
